The world is changing very fast. 20 years ago internet was a topic of science fiction books and it was supposed that in 2020 the cars would be intelligent and will moved thorough a imaginary motorway in the sky

The cars continue being science fiction, but internet not. And it makes a big, big, big difference with the world 20 years ago.

Early nineties internet was a baby yet, but companies tried to persuade people that, in spite of the few years in scene, the new communication and economical channel had grew up and matured in only 10 years.

Big fail, big bubble, big crash happened.

But today really the baby has grown up. Today is a young man or woman. Today is learning a lot of things in little time. And also, like young people do, is trying to change and to accelerate everything that is touched by him (or her).

The world is turning digital. But we don´t live in a virtual world, don´t forget it. We live in a physical world (until matrix theory can be probed). We like having lunch with our friends, going party, enjoying with our families, seeing our children...We like the physical world, our world.

Without questioning this, we start having more virtual life than we think. We have our social profile in social media, purchase things with credit card or virtual money and invest in companies just operating with movements between bank accounts... We operate more and more in a digital new world.

And our “digital life” is audiovisual most of the time. First was like a diary, with written text. Today are images, are videos are communication with the rest of the world without saying any word.

And people have a lot of thing to say in this new opportunity to improve and make things better. It is not only about free transfer of files or intellectual property regulation. Is more than this, no?

Is a new way of relation, a new way of make economical transactions…a new way of doing everything…

Digital economy is going to be the key of next years. Everybody should have access to buy a tangible thing or a digital content thorough internet, 24 hours and in all parts of the world. The escalation is the key, the efficiency and fairness the objective. A fair world can be built under these principles, can make better our lives and give opportunities to people without them today.

Information, social media, etc, are faster, easier and funny with internet. Next step is to do it for everybody and very simple, almost without words.

And of course, entrepreneurship in digital world must be a priority for “economical power”.

Goverments, institutions and all of us in general are very worried about the political implications of it. Every day we can read about SOPA, or Sinde, or the attitude of some countries about censoring the opinion of people… Why is the focus how to use it in a political way, and not how to transform the world in a better world for us? Of course is important how to deal with IP or what happen with radical groups and their publicity in the network, but why is everything analyze thorough political impact and not thorough better world impact? What happen with entrepreneurs then?

I believe that all problems can be solved speaking. It will be unacceptable that political issues could cut the new opportunity.

Fortunately we have hopeful examples of what to do. Wayra is a fantastic initiative of Telefónica for entrepreneurs. A fantastic accelerator in which technological projects can be transform in real business and can put their small contribution to a better world. If we add small contributions….

As the soul of wayra, José María Alvarez Pallete, says, the rules are not written yet. We have a lot to say and many things to do.

Other companies and some institutions are making the same. But while this is happening, most of the people and goberments are worrying about the impact in their own interests.

Ladys and gentleman, if we want a better world, a new economical order with internet contribution and a fair environment in terms of opportunities, each of us need to give up our own interest. If not, internet will be only a trend.

Let´s stop fighting about what it can be arrange speaking and let´s focus in built new digital things from our physical and amazing world.
